“I first saw Beth’s work at a gallery. When I walked in and saw her paintings and drawings hanging on the walls, my jaw
simply dropped. I was in awe at how Beth’s work so eloquently captured the expressions of her subjects. I am an animal
lover and each one of my pets has such definite expressions.
A few years ago I took a photograph of my sister’s black lab, Sydney, looking so sweet and content. After seeing Beth’s
beautiful work, I commissioned her to paint a portrait of Syd from the photo I'd taken. As an artist myself, I know how
difficult it is to paint a dark black animal. I could not believe just how incredible the painting turned out. The likeness was
uncanny. It was HER eyes. She captured Syd’s expression just perfectly. When I gave the painting to my sister, her eyes
filled up with tears. She said it was the best gift she'd ever gotten….. This will be the first of many commissions I give to
Beth. It’s priceless."
